Risper Okello

Risper Okello is a dedicated analyst and student of Economics and Finance (BSc) at the University of Surrey under the Beacon Scholarship. Her studies empower her to contribute to research in the Finance and Climate & Energy sectors, offering a fresh perspective rooted in macroeconomics.
Risper gained valuable experience through work with Friends of Nairobi National Park (FoNNaP), where she honed her skills in data analysis and reporting – developing a keen eye for detail and efficiency. This experience also sparked her passion for environmental issues, fuelling her interest in the climate and energy sector.
Risper’s passion for leadership development culminated in her founding the Dream Seed Project in the Kibera slums, Kenya where she helps young people recognise and cultivate their strengths to become future leaders. She has also led workshops in her community on period poverty and facilitating the creation of reusable sanitary pads.
Recreationally, Risper enjoys solo travel, a hobby that pushes her out of her comfort zone and broadens her perspectives by immersing her in different cultures.
