Lionel Rezida
Analyst, Commerce & Culture Desk
Lionel Rezida is a dedicated student of Politics and Economics (BSc) at the University of Bath. His multidisciplinary background allows him to bring a unique analytical perspective to the Commerce and Culture Desk, particularly in areas where finance, policy, and regional cooperation intersect.
As an intern at Uganda’s Ministry of Finance, Planning, and Economic Development (MOFPED), Lionel worked within the Department of Development Assistance and Regional Cooperation (DARC). In this role, he assisted in drafting reports on infrastructure project performance and contributed to negotiations with bilateral and multilateral creditors, demonstrating strong attention to detail and strategic thinking in economic development initiatives.
Beyond academics and professional experience, Lionel is a member of the Royal Life Saving Society (RLSS), reflecting his commitment to community engagement and public service. His fascination with finance and geopolitics continues to drive his pursuit of solutions to East Africa’s evolving economic and political challenges.
