Remmy Wahanze has a diverse background spanning law, finance, and technology. Pursuing a Law (LLB) degree at Uganda Christian University and accreditation from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) in Accounting & Finance, Remmy possesses a robust foundation in both legal and financial fields. Additionally, he has augmented his expertise with a Professional Certificate in Fintech from HKUx and attained the ACIArb designation as an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, specializing in Alternative Dispute Resolution. 

Remmy has contributed his expertise to esteemed institutions, including the Parliament of Uganda, where he engaged in policy advisory and legislative drafting. Remmy's passion for technology policy and governance is evident in his attendance of the virtual AI Policy Fellowship by the Center for AI & Digital Policy in Washington, DC. As the founder and leader of the Center for AI Ethics & Governance in Africa (CAIEGA), Remmy leads initiatives aimed at addressing ethical and governance challenges posed by AI within Africa. 

As a featured panellist at the Africa Lawtech Conference, Remmy contributes to thought leadership and insights to the evolving landscape of law, finance, and technology in the African ecosystem. He continues to develop these insights as he embarks on courses spanning Private Equity and Venture Capital with Financial Edge.
