Precious Guma

Analyst, Commerce & Culture Desk

Precious Kaitu Guma is a student of Law (LLB) at the Australian National University, majoring in Commercial Law with a minor in Economics. Her academic focus is on the intersection of law and technology, with a particular interest in bridging the gap between existing regulatory frameworks and emerging autonomous technologies. In addition to her studies, Precious works as a legal assistant at Gadens, a leading Australian law firm.

She supports solicitors in advising clients on a range of complex regulatory matters, including succession planning, estate management, and dispute resolution. Precious is also deeply committed to social justice and cultural inclusivity. She is currently serving as BIPOC Director of the ANU Law Students’ Society, as well as Secretary (BIPOC Department) of the ANU Students’ Association. In each of these organisations, Precious plays a key role in promoting the interests of ethnic minorities at her university.

In her free time, Precious is an avid enjoyer of the creative arts. If she is not engrossed in a novel, she can likely be found playing the piano, guitar, or attending a local open mic night.
