Arthur Ddamulira

Arthur Ddamulira has a passion for private capital and a keen interest in the African market. Born and raised in Uganda, Arthur will start his career at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer; one of the oldest and most prestigious international law firms in the world. 

Arthur's academic achievements reflect his dedication and excellence. He graduated with a First-class Honour's law degree from Cardiff university in the top 1% of his class and received: the Beacon Scholarship, Freshfields Stephen Lawrence scholarship, and Cardiff Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship. 

Beyond his academic pursuits, Arthur has demonstrated a commitment to social impact and community welfare. As a volunteer with Pro Bono Uganda, he has supported the building of boreholes and school classrooms to support early-stage education and participated in menstrual health campaigns. Additionally, Arthur led and built the Africa desk at London Politica with a broader focus on global markets, commodities and European financial systems. He also worked on client projects for a range of NGOs, governmental bodies and private non-state actors. 

Arthur's professional achievements and contributions have earned him recognition as one of PowerList Magazine's 150 Future Leaders in 2023, a testament to his potential to shape the future landscape of law and business. As a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, he has researched health policies across the African continent and armed conflict in the Sahel.
