Adam Rusa

Adam Rusa has a background spanning underwriting, finance, and economic research, acquired through his tenure with institutions across Latin America and Africa. Graduating with a Bachelor's in Finance (BCom) from Strathmore University, Adam has navigated various sectors of the financial industry, accruing invaluable knowledge and insights along the way.
During his tenure at Reaseguradora Patria, the largest reinsurer in Latin America, Adam was part of a team that successfully underwrote $120 million in reinsurance contracts across the region in the first quarter of 2023. Subsequently, he transitioned to a role as an analyst at Grupo Pena Verde's investment division, with assets under management totalling $1.2 billion. Specifically, Adam analysed the equity and alternative investment portfolio, contributing to informed decision-making and strategic investment initiatives within the organisation.
Adam has gained central banking experience in Uganda and Mexico. At the Central Bank of Mexico, Adam worked closely under the guidance of the Deputy Governor, Irene Espinosa. He conducted in-depth research to inform Mexico’s interest rate decisions in April 2023. Additionally, Adam interned at the Central Bank of Uganda, where he rotated through the forex desk, monetary policy division, and economic research unit. These experiences provided him with valuable insights into central banking operations and monetary policies.
