Jason Sentomero
Head of Partnerships
Jason is a Financial Economics (BSc) student at Strathmore University, recognised for being in the top 10% of his class and earning three Dean’s List honours. He holds a Financial Modelling and Valuation Analyst (FMVA) certification from the Corporate Finance Institute (CFI), adding a specialised edge to his academic achievements.
Professionally, Jason has amassed finance experience across East Africa spanning investment banking, private equity, and fintech. He spent two years as an investment consultant at Ortus Africa Capital, a boutique firm in Uganda, where he refined his financial modelling skills, contributing to government investments in private companies, capital raises, and structuring debt investments for SMEs. During his internship with Ascent Capital, a $200m East African private equity firm, Jason analysed multiple deals, gaining substantial exposure to deal origination and analysis. He now works with Fingo, a Kenyan neobank and Y-Combinator alumni, contributing to company strategy, product development, and partnerships.
In addition to his finance roles, Jason leads the Partnerships team at Jepa, ensuring impactful project execution while supporting the finance desk on capital raising and corporate finance mandates.
