Ariana Manduku

Ariana Manduku is a student of Materials Science Engineering (MEng) at the University of Oxford. Her academic journey is marked by a strong foundation in materials engineering, earning accolades such as the TATA Steel Prize for Best Team Design Project and a Collections Prize for excellent exam performance. Her current studies involve exploring innovations in materials that can address the needs of advanced technologies, including nuclear fusion reactor materials.

Ariana is deeply involved in extracurricular activities. As the Secretary General of the Oxford Africa Society, she leads initiatives to support African students, edits the weekly newsletter, and organizes major conferences. She also founded ‘Story Zetu’ a community for discussing African literature and sharing stories. Ariana’s interest in music as an orchestral violinist  and engagement in public speaking further reflect her commitment to well-rounded personal growth.
